Extending Battery Lifespan
Battery management system helps to extend the lifespan of the batteries by managing the depth of discharge (DoD) and charge/discharge cycles.

Safety Management
Lithium-ion batteries in utility-scale systems are sensitive to overcharging, deep discharging, and high temperatures, which can cause safety risks. The BMS monitors voltage, temperature, and current to ensure safe operation, shutting down charging or discharging if needed.

Located in the desert outskirts of Kashgar, Xinjiang, the 150MW/600MWh energy storage project supports the Tarim Oilfield under China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Since project launch, GERCHAMP BMS has safeguarded the safe and efficient operation of 45 energy storage units across 3.42 hectares, enhancing system stability, battery life, and overall economic performance.

Gerchamp’ s BMS technology plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and stability of the 20MWh energy storage system in the Tibet Changdu project. Located at an altitude of approximately 4,500 meters, this 10MW station spans over 389,000 sqm and is part of a broader 500MW/2000MWh deployment with a total investment of 172 million RMB. Our advanced BMS solution is designed to withstand extreme conditions, helping to bridge power gaps during peak demand and support sustainable regional development.

Our Battery Management System (BMS) successful empowers a 13.5MW/63MWh BESS at a repurposed open-pit mine in Inner Mongolia. The mining dump sites commonly face issues such as elevated terrain, steep slopes, heavy dust emissions from exposed surfaces, and severe soil erosion. Add in the dry climate and strong winds, and it’s a recipe for frequent dust storms and environmental concerns. Despite these challenges, our G-BS Battery Management System for has proven to be the key to enhancing the safety, reliability, efficiency, and availability of the battery storage system.
