Middle East Energy (MEE 2026), held from 1–3 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, has successfully concluded.
As the energy transition accelerates across the Middle East, high ambient temperatures and varying grid conditions are driving growing demand for reliable critical backup power and energy storage. At Booth H7.E53, we showcased our nickel-zinc critical backup power solutions and self-developed battery monitoring systems, alongside a broad range of commercial & industrial (C&I) and residential energy storage systems.
Throughout the three-day event, our team met with EPC contractors, system integrators, project developers and other industry professionals from across the Gulf region. These discussions provided valuable insights into local project requirements, particularly around high-temperature performance, system safety, backup power reliability and overall project economics.
Self-Developed Nickel-Zinc Solutions and BMS for Critical Backup Power
A key highlight at our booth was our nickel-zinc backup power portfolio, supported by our self-developed battery monitoring systems (BMS).
We showcased the 8XNFZ38 (38 Ah) and 8XNFG90 (90 Ah) high-rate nickel-zinc batteries, both designed for discharge rates of up to 10C, as well as the BC-3830S15BA0 intelligent nickel-zinc battery cabinet.
The cabinet integrates our nickel-zinc batteries with our proprietary BMS and is designed for 15-minute critical backup applications. Based on an inherently safe aqueous nickel-zinc chemistry with no thermal runaway, the system operates across a wide temperature range of -20°C to 55°C, making it well suited to demanding operating environments in the Middle East.
With high-rate discharge capability, inherent safety and wide-temperature operation, our nickel-zinc solutions provide a reliable alternative to conventional lead-acid batteries for communications infrastructure, industrial facilities and other mission-critical applications.
Alongside our nickel-zinc batteries and cabinet, we showcased our self-developed BMS portfolio, designed to support nickel-zinc, lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries while providing comprehensive visibility into battery health and operating conditions.
The portfolio included the G-TH battery monitoring system, certified to UL, CE and REACH standards, with thermal-runaway early warning and intelligent battery analytics for critical backup power applications. We also presented the G-TF battery monitoring system, purpose-built for aqueous nickel-zinc batteries with dedicated electrolyte-level monitoring for more precise operation and maintenance.
A particular highlight was the G-TH-EX explosion-proof module, designed for hazardous environments such as oil & gas and chemical facilities and certified to IECEx/ATEX IIC standards. Beyond its explosion-proof design, the module combines ultra-low power consumption (≤15 mW per module), AI-driven cell anomaly detection and high-accuracy SOC/SOH estimation, enabling reliable battery monitoring and early identification of abnormal conditions in demanding industrial environments.
Energy Storage Solutions from 2.5 kWh to 241 kWh
We also presented our energy storage portfolio, covering capacities from 2.5 kWh to 241 kWh for both residential and commercial & industrial applications.
For C&I projects, our systems support peak shaving, on-grid and off-grid microgrid operation, and emergency backup power. For residential applications, they help maximize rooftop solar self-consumption while providing reliable backup during grid outages or periods of grid instability.
Among the residential solutions on display, our GF Series low-voltage floor-mounted battery attracted particular interest from visitors, reflecting strong demand for practical and reliable home solar-plus-storage solutions in the region.
System configurations can be tailored to different load profiles, operating scenarios and project requirements, giving system integrators and asset owners greater flexibility in selecting the right solution for their applications.
The exhibition generated productive discussions around system configuration, local operating conditions and project implementation, giving us further insight into the needs of C&I and residential energy storage customers across the region.
Building Stronger Connections in the Middle East
MEE 2026 gave us the opportunity to connect directly with customers and partners and better understand the practical requirements of projects across the Middle East.
High-temperature performance, safety in demanding industrial environments, reliable backup power and overall system economics were among the topics raised most frequently. These priorities closely align with the areas we continue to focus on across our nickel-zinc backup power, BMS and energy storage portfolios.
The exhibition also helped us strengthen connections with EPC contractors, system integrators, project developers and other partners across the region.
Going forward, we will continue to adapt and improve our solutions for the Middle East, with a focus on safety, reliability, high-temperature performance and cost-effectiveness. We also look forward to working more closely with local partners to support critical infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the region.
